DR.APT RECOllMENDATION
l . Ao an interim arrangement to enable the Treaty Powers to exchange infon:iation on a voluntary basis bof ora tho beginnins of the 1960/61 Antarctic eason
the followins procedure is recommended.
2. Each Government should decide on the amount and types of information on scientific activities and
logistic support therefor which it would consider
appropriate to exchall89 with the other Governments. The tentative liet of items of information to be exchanged under the provisions of Article VII(5) of the Antarctic Treaty woul.d provide a useful guide to Goverzmenta in preparing this information.
J .
The objective should be to make this information available to the other Governments by the beginning ot September, 1960.4. The exchaJlBe of information should take place at the interim consultative meetings in Washington where
representatives would circulate their Government's
information to representatives of the other Governments.
