I used information from library books and journal articles to see what others had done about my research topic. The minutes of the YMG meetings in KWf district will guide me in the areas of response or the policy that the association intends to use in preventing the HIVAIDS pandemic in the region.

Action Research

I have used a number of unpublished materials such as articles, reports and theses on this subject from the university library that used.

Oral Study

Conclusion

The Methodist Church has also proposed some practical measures to be taken in the fight against HIV. In this document it was clearly stated that the Methodist response to HIV and AIDS was mainly guided by the teachings of the gospels.

Introduction

Geographical location of King William's Town 22

HIV has affected King William's Town in a different way, in that it is particularly eliminating those members of society who are the most productive population group and most responsible for the community's success. The RIV has affected King Willemsstad in a different way, in that it mainly eliminates those members of society who are the most productive population group and most responsible for the community's success. KWT is one of the poor areas in the Eastern Cape that bears the impact of HIV because two-thirds of it is rural.

The following statistics attest to the fact that HIV/AIDS has become the most devastating pandemic ever seen in the history of epidemiology in South Africa:26. 36 S.Mkhatshwa, “Personal Relationships: Family, Sexual Relationships, and the AIDS Epidemic.” in The Moral Renaissance: Government.

Introduction

Background ofYMG

The HistoryofYMG

In the minutes of the 1930 synod held at Mount Coke, the name of the association is given as 'Young Men's Manyano of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of South Africa'.9 At this synod it was agreed that the badge (imbasa) should include the initials ' Y.M.M '. The year 1933 witnessed a great expansion of the movement, as the occasion of the first annual meeting was held in Albert Street, Johannesburg. In the minutes of the 1930 Synod held at Mount Coke, the name of the association is given as 'Young Men's Manyano of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of South Africa'.'

This was accepted as the YMG uniform in Transvaal at a triennale held in King Williams Town under the presidency of Reverend E. It was the confirmation and approval of the move put forward by the 1992 Mthatha triennale under the presidency of Rev.

The Constitution ofYMG

The importance and role of the uniform as a sign of equality and friendship was recognized in all provinces. In all twelve MCSA districts, including Swaziland, Lesotho and Namibia, the YMG is alive and is, in many ways, the spearhead of the church. Once every three years, the Triennial Convention is held in different districts of the association and is attended by representatives from all districts.

The YMG's signature uniform is a black jacket, gray trousers and black shoes, a white shirt and a black tie. Members of the YMG identify with this in official meetings and in large services.

The Role ofYMG

Evangelism

YMG has a typical African flavor which is easily noticeable when they take the platform to perform their services. YMG still does evangelization, but the challenge has been how to do it in a context like ours, which is pluralistic and confronted with poverty. In my experience, evangelism for YMG is one that spreads religious tolerance while not losing what it is as a Christian movement.

Second, evangelism for YMG means adopting strategies to offer a comprehensive gospel to all people. In the evangelistic message of the YMG, it should be emphasized that spiritual revival leads to moral change, which is the only sure way to prevent the spread of AIDS.

Gender Education

YMG can be a space where men can be trained to be comfortable with who they are and find power in their position to satisfy them. If the YMG can make a decision to talk about this problem at its meetings, there will be a significant reduction in the spread of HIV. YMG can be a space where men can be trained to be comfortable with who they are and find power in their position to satisfy them.

Masculinity and responsibility can be redefined in a Christian way through the reflective participation of YMG members. Therefore, YMG is a favorable space for addressing the gender factor as a key spreader of HIV.

YMG's attitude towards HIV

Collection of data in YMG fellowship

In order to provide accurate information about which YMGs may be involved in the prevention of HIV and AIDS, the researcher has deliberately chosen to be flexible in data collection methods. Again, what surprised me is that all the questionnaires were returned; something that rarely happens with questionnaires because the researcher has no control over the conditions under which the data are elicited. Again, what surprised me is that all the questionnaires were returned; something that rarely happens with questionnaires because the researcher has no control over the conditions under which the data are elicited. I prefer to use Action research because I want to help YMG save society from the escalating HIV spread and again I wanted to have an opportunity for first hand experience and observation of the necessary data.

Data analysis and interpretation

44 (c) Eight are unemployed; five have their own business while five are employed by the. companies and two are employed by the!government. From the data above, we notice that the majority of people most affected by HIV and AIDS are black people. The data also indicated that most of those affected do not stay with their families in this town and again they have a low level of education compared to the rest of the community.

Perhaps we can say that lack of education, unemployment, staying away from their families and poverty could have contributed to the widespread spread of the virus. This records everything each individual said so it can help us analyze and evaluate the data.

Impact of HIV to YMG

Now we will listen to their stories and experiences, which we have been collecting for ten consecutive weeks. This is evidenced by the number of YMG members who are buried annually in the district, that is at least two. The evidence is that they are dying from AIDS-related diseases such as pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis and meningitis.1.

YMG's response to HIV and AIDS

The point Dube is making here is that there is a lack of naming HIV and AIDS in a way that would make it understandable to the majority of African people. The continued prevalence of HIV and AIDS among the youth is further proof of the fact that the use of a condom is not the ultimate weapon in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The continued prevalence of HIV and AIDS among the youth is further proof of the fact that the use of a condom is not the ultimate weapon in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Within the YMG, it has been my observation as a member that people with HIV and AIDS are discriminated against. Within the YMG, it has been my observation as a member that people with HIV and AIDS are discriminated against.

General contribution ofYMG to HIV prevention

The above data shows that YMG does not have any method that they can say they are using in the prevention of HIV and AIDS. This is because HIV and AIDS is not only a health issue, it is also a socio-economic issue. This is because H1V and AIDS is not only a health issue, it is also a socio-economic issue.

If we want to win the fight against AIDS, YMG must involve all its members in HIV and AIDS education. In view of this, the YMG should also promote the use of condoms as one of the preventive measures in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Conclusion

These challenges also arose against the backdrop of the impact of HIV in King William's City. An example that was given in this regard concerns the issue of condom efficacy in the fight against HIV. These challenges also arose against the backdrop of RIV's influence in King William's City.

In fact by listening to the voices and experiences of the members, it became very clear that there is nothing like HIV and AIDS in their programs and even the YMG constitution is silent about it. Consequently, men must be brought to the point of seeing the dynamics of Xhosa culture that promote the spread of HIV.

Summary

The chapter evaluated the Methodist Church's policy on HIV/AIDS and its theology of sexuality and sin. Its relevance in dealing with the struggle, pain and suffering during the apartheid regime among the black population positions it strategically in dealing with HIV in the post-apartheid era. The chapter evaluated the Methodist Church's policy on HIV/AIDS and its theology of sexuality and sin. The chapter was able to demonstrate that ethics, as per Wesley's teaching, was centered on the love, perfection, and infallibility of human beings. in which such teachings encouraged strictness in one's sexual behavior, thus ignoring that humans are weak and sinners in need of forgiveness.

Overall, the chapter has strengthened our hypothesis by its conclusions that the vision of the kingdom of Ood approximates the hope and reality of a society built on the foundation of all-encompassing love, alternative lifestyles, compassion and decency." Chapter five took the study a step further by analyzing and evaluate the aims, objectives, strengths and weaknesses of the YMG and its position on HIV/AIDS in light of the responses from the interviews.

Conclusion

Describe the most common attitudes toward HIV and AIDS that you find in YMG. What methods are being used by YMG in the fight against HIV and AIDS in the church. What is the teaching of the Methodist Church on HIV and AIDS and how effective is it in YMG.

In the fourth week of the interview, members were asked about the Methodist Church's teaching on HIV and AIDS and how effective it is in YMG. LF: Yes, the church should be involved in HIV and AIDS programs TM: Yes, the church should be involved because it is part of the community.
